(Also, snickering that the pronunciation of 'bible' sounds horribly similar to 'vibrator', I'm immature, OK.) Randomly, I need to reformat all my lyrics posts, and I just realized that half of them were on THIS journal and simply linked from my lyrics post on sadaharu, so I had to go back and public-security them all. [Friday July 25th, 2008 ] genkischuldich It's been a busy week. I went to see Speed Racer, which was fabulous! Like having 10 mugs of caffeine in a row! This is the first time in years that a movie has surprised me with its awesomeness. It was just so shiny. ...I also bought Pokemon Diamond for the DS. Can I say it? Can I say The Words? MY POKEMANS. LET ME SHOW YOU THEM. I suspect the reasoning behind my buying it is that I'm surrounded by Pokemon merchandise almost constantly and children are always talking to me about which ones they like. The clincher was when kurayamihimitsu mentioned she had it too. Actually, I used to be a big Pokemon fan -- it's where I first heard Miki Shin'ichirou and Koyasu Takehito. I lost interest when they introduced too many new Pokemon though. Anyway, I also went to the annual Bon Odori near my apartment (see picture). Fantastic, as always. Obon has always felt very special to me and I love joining in the dances. This year, I danced behind an elderly man who showed me the right moves. He took a picture of kuroe and I afterwards -- I suppose we were a novelty. In the evening, we rented Sweeney Todd and had a two-person singalong with the English subs. Anyone want to join us next time for a bizarre karaoke, alcohol and random cosplay event? Fandom stuff... Everyone's talking about Hetalia Axis Powers. Not sure if it's more of a 'whoa, trainwreck' or something else. I'd never heard of until recently, but there were some good seiyuu on the drama CD -- Sugiyama Noriaki was Britain. Going to be putting out a a call for people who want to join a Velvet Under World RPG soon, so let me know if you'd like to get in there first and get a character. Watch the leaves turn.

WinAmp is being a dick. [Thursday July 24th, 2008 ] nympholepsia My WinAmp is going spazzoid and I have no idea how to fix it. I was playing an MP3 that I ripped, USING WinAmp, in high quality VBR. The song played fine when I ripped it. The song plays fine on iTunes. The song plays fine on WMP. The song plays fine in every other media player. When I play it in WinAmp, it's horribly distorted. I do not know how to fix this, or even what the hell is wrong with it. :( It's driving me crazy, because I had to download freaking iTunes to play music, and I hate iTunes. Oh, I tried re-encoding the file back to CBR, and it STILL sounds horrible, but *ONLY* in WinAmp. Same file sounds perfectly fine in other players. What the fuck. I think he does more stage plays than voice work. =.( Just watched the lil movie he posted on his blog and wah, he has a nice voice too! I've only heard him in the CELL DIVISION "dramas" and thought his voice was cute. U~~~n, wish he did more voice work. And guh, he'd be the hardest to get something for to complete the Sugitagumi present giving "tradition." =.\ See, if UVERworld had come to Fanime, I would have tried to get a CD autographed for him since he's a big fan but well, they didn't come (at least this year) so yeah... Oh! And for Sugita, maybe Suzumiya Haruhi would be a better choice than Ceres? But man... The "tradition" is first major role! Kagami was his first major role so I really wanna get Ceres for him. Maybe just one volume... I was looking through the episode listings and I think Kagami shows up a lot in volume 3? That would be much easier to get than the Collector's Part 1. What d'ya think? One of yesterday's search engine terms included "azusa wa ore no yome." LOL. WTF? X.D Btw, that's what one of the fans at the Oofuri event wrote on the big banner that had the seiyuu cracking up. Lack of decorating. [Thursday July 24th, 2008 ] nympholepsia My room looks so plain. I often see pictures of other people's rooms and they have posters, wallscrolls, pinups, magazine crap posted all over their walls. I feel strange and immature putting those kinds of things up. When other people do it, it doesn't seem strange to me (I think their rooms look fine...), but when I do, it does. The last time I had anything like that up in my room, was about three years ago, I think. I had two Hayami Show posters, a Hyde poster, and a Fushigi Yuugi wallscroll that my sister had given me. I feel awkward putting that stuff back up on my walls. I have to wonder if it's really my thoughts, or if my family and etc's opinions of what's appropriate for someone my age have just seeped through enough to influence what I do or what I think I should do. I have wallscrolls and posters, but they don't get hung. They stay in poster tubes, in the closet, and that's it. Is that weird? It probably is. Watch the leaves turn. 16 .:.:.

More Natsume Yuujinchou talk: I love Nyanko-sensei! [Thursday July 24th, 2008 ] mizukiaya [ mood | happy ] [ music | 夏目友人帳OP ] I love Nyanko-sensei and Natsume Yuujinchou, of course. He's so damn cute and cool in Madara form.  It's so funny whenever he talks about how he doesn't care if Natsume dies and that he can't wait to eat Natsume up.:p I watched episode 3 today and I'm really pleased with how they've been doing the anime. It's very close to the manga and still has the same feel and everything.  It's really great. I'm thinking I might buy the dvds when they come out. Yesterday, I finally went to the store and got myself Natsume Yuujinchou manga volumes 2-6 and a cute shitajiki, too. I'm in the middle of chapter 8 now.  Gonna try not to read all of them over the weekend since I wanna save some to read while I'm traveling next week.  But, I love the stories so much, it might be too hard to resist reading.  So I'll have to keep myself busy with other things. I really should get back to studying for the JLPT.  I've been really lazy about that since I've been on break from my classes for 2 weeks.>< Anyhow, I must once again recommend this series, both anime and manga for anyone who's been having doubts.  It's really the perfect series for the summer.  If you want more of a summary please check my previous post about it.^^/ Watch the leaves turn. 8 .:.:.

White Cube & Ikepara [Wednesday July 23rd, 2008 ] nympholepsia Reading Studio Warp's site and I am getting slightly confused. They are reprinting Shinotani's 'White Cube' Vol.2 DVD now, which figures, they reprint it right after I spend a ridiculous sum buying a copy while it was out of print, officially. -_-;; Oh, well. I just wish they wouldn't officially state HAY OUT OF PRINT and then bring stuff back, because I'd wait longer to snag it if I knew it was coming back in print SOMETIME. When the release company's distributor tells me something is OOP, I believe them. :| There's a 3-DVD White Cube set for Yasuka, and a 3-DVD White Cube set for Shinotani. Despite the fact that Shinotani is Vol.3, Yasuka's Vol.4 is out first. What? Hamao Kyosuke is also getting a 3-set. So, VOL4&5 are out two weeks before VOL3. Makes total sense. VOL 7&8 are apparently also out before VOL9. VOL10 isn't out till 8/30, but vol 7&8 are out on 8/25. Learn to count, SW. Jeez. Shinotani: VOL.3 (8/15), VOL.6 (9/15), VOL.9 (10/15) Yasuka: VOL.4 (7/31), VOL.7 (8/25), VOL.11 (9/25) Hamao: VOL.5 (7/31), VOL.8 (8/25), VOL.12 (9/25) Someone else is VOL.10, unrelated to the rest. Really enjoyed this episode and I definitely recommend this series to anyone and everyone! Kamiya and Inoue are just perfect and the story is great.
